DULUTH, Georgia — Lotus Cars USA is offering a new 2009 Lotus Elise Purist Edition at a hefty $3,000-plus discount from the standard Elise.
The new Elise Purist Edition will retail for $44,920, including a $925 shipping charge. The standard Elise sells for $48,175, including shipping.
The Elise Purist Edition comes in three colors: Ardent Red, Monaco White and Saffron Yellow. It includes a Sport Pack and much of the Touring Pack, with such features a Momo steering wheel, leather seats, starter button, air-conditioning and 17-inch Yokohama Neova performance tires.
Inside Line says: Don't think of the Elise Purist Edition as a stripper. Think of it as a lightweight companion to the standard Elise, with all the extraneous gear pared away. — Paul Lienert, Correspondent
