What is it?
2000 Lincoln Town Car Cartier L
What's special about it?
The Cartier L is the first factory-produced long-wheelbase Lincoln Town Car. The sedan's body is extended 6 inches at the factory, providing an additional 7.5 cubic feet of space for rear passengers. Other gains include wider rear door openings, heated rear seats, a folding armrest with storage bins, rear audio and climate controls, a new center armrest with storage bins, mood lighting, and a cigar-sized ashtray with illuminated lighter.
Why should you care?
Shaquille O'Neal, 59 percent career free-throw shooter and ace product pitchman, was there. The Cartier L drove up on stage, and out popped Shaq from the backseat. The L.A. Laker mumbled a few words, then scooted 30 seconds later, no doubt collected a nice tidy sum for his appearance. Then Lincoln passed out free basketballs. (Why should you care? You shouldn't, unless you run a livery business.)
