Earlier this month, Ford reported that 2009 Lincoln MKZ sales were down 56.7 percent in February 2009 versus February 2008.
The price increase still slots the 2010 Lincoln MKZ $2,370 below the 2009 Cadillac CTS, which starts at $37,335, including a $775 destination charge. Cadillac has yet to announce pricing on the 2010 CTS.
For the 2010 model year, MKZ buyers can order a new Sport appearance package. It adds sport suspension tuning with stiffer springs and larger stabilizer bars; 18-inch Euroflange polished wheels; unique grille, body-color door handles and darkened headlamps. There are also interior upgrades including contrasting piping and aluminum appliqués. The package ranges from $795-$1,295.
Standard features on the 2010 MKZ include leather seats, wood trim, heated and cooled front seats, Ford's Sync entertainment system, a reverse-sensing system and a multiadjustable power driver seat.
