2009 Lincoln MKS: All-new for 2009, the Lincoln MKS has been on the road since the beginning of the summer. It's based on the platform of the Mercury Sable, but Lincoln has conducted a thorough makeover. Fresh bodywork makes the car more formal while disguising its full-size dimensions. Available as either a front- or all-wheel-drive model, the MKS is powered by a 273-horsepower 3.7-liter V6 matched to a conventional six-speed automatic. Lincoln has gone to some lengths to make the interior quiet with a special 6mm-thick windshield in order to allow the occupants to better appreciate the virtues of its THX II-certified 5.1 surround-sound audio system. The voice-activated Sync system helps you make the most of the audio system's capability. Most of all, this is a very large car, with 105.9 cubic feet of interior volume to prove it.

2009 Lincoln MKX: This handsome, well-equipped twin of the front-wheel-drive Ford Edge crossover now features voice-activated navigation and a standard power liftgate. In addition there are a few new details, including a grab handle for the front-seat passenger, a net and hooks for the cargo compartment and even a universal garage door opener.

There are four Lincoln MKX special editions. The Limited Edition features a chrome grille, 20-inch chrome wheels and black seats with stone-color inserts. The Monochromatic Limited Edition begins with a monochromatic grille, then adds the 20-inch chrome wheels and the black seats with stone-color inserts plus unique badging. The Ultimate package is available for both front- and all-wheel-drive versions of the MKS and includes chrome 18-inch wheels, adaptive interior lighting, premium leather upholstery and a power-folding second-row seat. The last special edition is a combination of the Ultimate package and the Ebony Interior package.

Finally, the 2009 Lincoln MKS incorporates the THX II-certified 5.1 surround sound system with a 12-channel amplifier and 12 speakers.

2009 Lincoln MKZ: The MKZ is Lincoln's own version of the Mercury Milan and Ford Fusion, themselves long-wheelbase iterations of the previous-generation Mazda 6. As before, a 263-hp V6 powers this front-wheel-drive car. For 2009, stability control is standard equipment. There's also a Midnight Black option package that includes wood trim and leather upholstery in the same black-and-gray color treatment as the similar package for the MKX. Satellite radio, the THX II-endorsed audio system and Sync voice-activation technology are all part of the 2009 Lincoln MKZ as well.

2009 Lincoln Navigator: This luxuriously trimmed version of the Ford Expedition has even more standard features for 2009 with the addition of parking proximity sensors, rain-sensing wipers, heated second-row seats and finally a rearview camera (the screen appears within the rearview mirror). Among other things, a power liftgate, THX II surround-sound audio, Sync and heated/cooled front seats are now standard equipment as well. The exterior is distinguished by the availability of a Monochrome Limited Edition package of bodywork trim in black, green, silver and white. New exterior colors include Monterey Grey Clearcoat Metallic, Sangria Clearcoat Metallic and White Platinum Tri-Coat.
