DEARBORN, Michigan — Ford Motor has begun shipping the all-new 2009 Lincoln MKS to U.S. dealers. The company's new flagship sedan is priced from $38,465, including destination.

The aggressively low sticker positions the MKS well below such competitors as the Cadillac STS ($45,290) and the Acura RL ($46,995).

Included in the standard equipment on the MKS are cooled front seats, heated rear seats and a reverse sensing system. Ford's Sync communications system, developed with Microsoft, also comes standard, bundled with Sirius Travel Link.

What this means to you: New design, new engine, new name. Will they bring Lincoln new customers? — Anita Lienert, Correspondent
