The LX and Land Cruiser have lost much of their classic sheetmetal and $81k is a bit much, esp. for that gaping maw.

I like it, but $81,000 is etremely high.  If you step down with the Toyota Landcruiser you would still pay in the $60 thousands. Even the Chevrolet Tahoes can get quite pricey, then I again I am on a compact car budget.

I'd take this over the Escalade since it looks more classy and has much better interior materials and features. Still, it looks like a $40,000 Toyota SUV with a huge Lexus grill. I'd rather spend $80K+ on an the Range Rover Sport or Porsche Cayenne. Pass.

It looks ugly on the outside but once you've been in one, you know why it's so expensive! Such a nice SUV but totally not practical

Overpriced. Pretty nice, but Overpriced. I'd rather a QX56, a GL, an LR4...really anything else. Except for the Escalade/Navigator. Gaudy, ugly, cheap feeling, ghetto are the words that come to mind for those.

When the Mayans are correct, and The End of Days comes, I think I'll take the Lexus to meet my maker.......

The Escalade is definitely outdated and priced so high. Compared to the Escalade, the QX56 in terms of technology is so far ahead of the Escalade. The LX570 like the Land Cruiser is imported in small numbers. The Escalade is in need of a serious update since its 6 model years old. Hopefully the next generation Escalade, Yukon, Suburban, etc will be up to date

Not 100% sure about some of the styling updates but overall it looks good and is a great SUV. Want one so bad.

    80 grand for that?

That's why you get gold leafing on the roof in the taj mahal like Lexus showrooms.

    What an uninspiring product.

Must be because Lexus is adding that tacky led on the headlights...

With other manufacturers are moving to the electric methods, this behemoth is going away soon...
