TORRANCE, Calif. — Lexus said it will unveil its new 2007 LX 470 Limited Edition model on Friday at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

Only 400 of the special LX 470s will be built for the U.S. market. They will carry a price tag of $68,520, including a $715 destination charge and the $410 exterior and interior options bundle.

The LX 470 Limited Edition gets a "black onyx" exterior and color-coded scuff plates. Other exterior touches include 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels with a "liquid graphite" finish and chrome handles, beltline accent and exhaust tip. Chrome Limited Edition badges are added to the front driver and passenger doors.

In the cabin, the Limited Edition models come with a "stone" leather interior, black bird's-eye maple trim, and black floor mats and cargo mat.

Powertrain specs remain the same as on the base LX 470. The LX 470 is powered by a 4.7-liter DOHC V8 that makes 268 horsepower and 328 pound-feet of torque. It is mated to a five-speed automatic transmission.

The LX 470 Limited Edition will hit showrooms in early December.

What this means to you: Your new LX 470 can be ordered with some appearance upgrades, but no changes in the performance department.
