    Just the Facts:
    • The limited edition of the Lexus supercar will add $70,000 to the bottom line.
    • Only 50 LFAs will be equipped with the Nurburgring package.
    • Output is bumped by 10 horsepower to 562 hp.

GENEVA — Nearly a year after it was first announced, the 2012 Lexus LFA Nurburgring Package makes its public debut in early March at the 2011 Geneva Auto Show.

The Nurburgring Package will add $70,000 to the LFA's base price of $375,000. A matte-black finish costs another $20,000.

Lexus said the new package will be limited to just 50 cars, out of the LFA's total production run of 500 units.

The Nururgring Package features enhanced aerodynamics and downforce, with a fixed rear wing, a larger front spoiler and fin-type side spoilers, all made from carbon fiber. The suspension also has been retuned and mesh-type wheels fitted with high-grip rubber.

Output on the 4.8-liter V10 has been increased by 10 horsepower to 562 hp and shift changes on the six-speed sequential gearbox cut to 0.15 second. Lexus says 0-60-mph acceleration takes less than 3.7 seconds and top speed is 202 mph.

@mr Lexus  Good point(cliking the link)

Um yea , I stand almost utterly neutral on the discussion below.. Its an awesome design, I really didnt expect something like this from Toyota. Supercar performance, yes.
Pricing .. Too expensive no argument there. You want rare exclusive $400,000+ supercar? Better options are out there. I'd price the LFA Somewhere between 150k-275k
Oh and ppl mentioning that its reliable..WTH??! You dont care about that when buying supercars, if they arent reliable theyre not super. Reliability comes standard with supercars.

    To the SAAB Guy 93Aero

You must be Korean cause you are saying Hyundai is better than Toyota. You probably have a Genesis sedan and coupe with your airplane car as well. You wish SAAB could build a supercar. Dont hate on the Yota's cause you see them and Lexus EVERYWHERE! And dont tell me that the LF A is not the sexiest sounding V10. Oh and the thing in Japan...two words...ASIAN DRIVERS!!!!- They are EVERYWHERE TOO! Dangerous. But I like you SAAB Guy, its funny how people diss the LF A, but why did you even click on the link on Insideline? Its cause your interested in the CAR! Goodnight.

You're really waisting your money if this is what you consider a great Supercar. Anyone is complete fool to believe that this is worth it.

It's NOT cool if you're constanly getting embarrassed by cars that cost less than this thing. But yeah I'll admit, this is a nice looking car. But its performance doesn't deliver like it's $465K either. A Corvette ZR-1 is 3mph faster than this car at top speed.

Lexus made this car for the exact same reason why Lamborghini made the $1.5 million Reventon. Limit the production, Jack the price up, go after the rich, make the money, and call it quits for production.

True, I may never afford a Supercar in my life, But I DON'T RESPECT A CAR FOR BEING MADE FOR THIS STUPID REASON.

Givin a choice, I'd rather take the 2012 Nissan GT-R. Not only because it is the best bang for your buck for Supercar, but is an amazing breakthrough for Supercar everyday, multifunctionality use. AND IT CAN OUTPERFORM THIS CAR (for a lot less).

    flwind-

None of that has anything to do w/ the fact that this car is underwhelming in the performance department. The price issue isn't in comparing it to cars that offer the same performance (or better), of which there are many, so much as it how unimpressive this car is compared to others of the same price. And to suggest that everyone who has significant financial means at their disposal does not consider the overall value of something, or has no regard for spending their money wisely, you're daft. Simple as that.

    cleatus-

You really think that everyone who buys a Mustang or Corvette is just the blue collar guy who lives next door??? Get real. Let me let you in on a little secret- there's this thing called the Barrett Jackson auction, where 'POS' Corvettes and Mustangs regularly sell for well into the six figures. Now, do you see this car being held in the same regards down the road?? You're crazy if you think so. This car will be little more than footnote in the history of early 21st century supercars. For you to make the implication that anyone of wealth doesn't care about a Vette or Mustang soley based on the fact that they are a cheaper car is completely ignorant.

Really just makes YOU guys look like poor schmucks talking out your behinds w/ nothing at all to back up your claims. Neither of your posts have any merit whatsoever.....

You dumpmestic fanboys are too funny. Who the hell would actually take a vette over this thing? The vette is an economy car. This is a supercar. The vette is made of plastic this is made of carbon fiber. Do you really think people with half a mill to spend on a car care about mustangs and vettes?

Comments on ubber expensive toys such as this always crack me up.  They have "I'm a poor schmuck" written all over them. If you got 400 grand to plunk down on a ride, you aren't thinking "hmmm, what's a better value?  ZR1 or an LFA??" That's something a poor schmuck racks his brain over when deciding between a Honda Civic or a Toyota Corolla.  An LFA customer probably already has a ZR1 as his beater.

You buy this car because you can, end of story.

This package just adds insult to injury!

And who the hell buys a supercar for it's reliability, that's like marrying an ugly woman instead of a supermodel because she is always on time!?

Uh...one thing you all seem to be forgetting.  The list price of the LFA, whether it is $465k or $165k is a moot point. It is available to lease only and Toyota sets the rates.  The real question will be how much they are leasing these for and whether or not it's worth it to you to shell out a hundred or two hundred thousand dollars and then give the car back.

I like the comments about exclusive/rareness... If GM charged 450K for a ZR1/Z06 - it'd be pretty rare too. A 450K Fort GT - rare as well. I guess it depends what you are shopping for.

I think a Toyota over 150K-200K is as laughable as a GM or Ford over that price.

Price aside I think a ZR1 or a Ford GT would be a much more fun car. Likely faster in the hands of the average driver too.

I do like the more riced out look of this LFA.

That's the whole point- this car really has none of the things other cars of it's caliber and price bring to the table. Yeah, one could argue it's unique; yeah, it's rare; yeah; it uses some high tech. But it's not groundbreaking or significant in any way, and it's performance is less than stellar. Of course it's true noone buys a supercar for a bargain, but the fact still remains- the car has to be able to deliver supercar performance. This car does not. It's a engine has been proven to be overrated, it uses sequential manual trans that has been noted to be a weak point, and it's heavy. Add that to fact that the car can't even outperform a Z06 in the performance department, and you have a car masquerading to be a supercar, but still falls quite short of proper credentials.
