LOS ANGELES — What do you get the heiress who has everything? In the case of Paris Hilton and her 30th birthday this week, it's a $375,000 banana-yellow Lexus LFA from her boyfriend Cy Waits.
"My boyfriend got me the most incredible birthday gift!" wrote Hilton on Twitter. "I love it! He's so generous and sweet! Amazing!"
Waits, a nightclub owner, appears to have deep pockets when it comes to his girl. He gave Hilton an expensive necklace for Valentine's Day. "Just got home from a romantic Valentine's Day dinner with my love," she wrote on Twitter. "He gave me the most beautiful ruby and diamond necklace. Loves (sic) it."
Hilton's 552-horsepower birthday gift was met with snarky comments from some online observers. "Just like her, it's plastic," wrote Chris Woodyard in USA Today. The body of the LFA is carbon fiber to cut weight.
Receipt of Hilton's expensive automotive gift was first reported by the celebrity gossip Web site TMZ.com. It is expected to be part of Hilton's new reality show, The World According To Paris, which debuts this spring on the Oxygen Network. TMZ.com showed images of Hilton, clad in a mint green gown, a statement necklace and a microphone, walking out to her driveway to get her birthday "surprise."
"The World According To Paris offers an unprecedented voyeuristic glimpse into Paris's real life, beyond what we see in the tabloids," said the Oxygen Network in a statement. It has also posted a sneak-peek video of the show, which begins in the driveway of Hilton's home and shows her pink Bentley. But, unfortunately, this video shows Hilton receiving a pony — not the car — from an unidentified admirer. "Oh, I'm going to name her Lady Coco Chanel," coos Hilton as she leads the beribboned animal into her home.
Expensive cars have provided a compelling backdrop for the heiress, who was first chronicled extensively in the 2003 reality show The Simple Life. She received the pink Bentley from West Coast Customs a couple of years ago.
Curiously — and perhaps of no consequence — the Lexus LFA birthday present is the same color as the one shown in the LFA versus the supermodel video released by the automaker earlier this week.

Reading through all these comments, looks like quite a few of you guys are Toyota/Lexus haters. Is it because of jealousy? Racism? To me, I like every quality, good looking cars, doesn't matter what makes.
BTW, to those who has bad comments about this LFA, if you get this for your birthday, what would you do? give it away, because you hate Lexus? Be honest to yourself!!!! Why so narrow hearted! narrow minded!

Her boyfriend must have deep pockets. He is looking to take on the Nevada judiciary by claiming that the felony charge for being under the influence of marijuana is unconstitutional. I cannot see the legal fees for that being cheap. I also know for a fact that NV has WAAAY too much invested in that particular law to lose in court. Meh, on second thoughts they will probably reduce the charge to avoid it going to trial.
If you had not guessed already, I have no interest in the latest car related purchase/gift/wreck of any pop-tart.

I really dislike this countries obsession with celebrity. Most of them contribute nothing meaningful to society. I can't remember the last time I even watched television, and if I have to hear the women I work with talk about Jersey Shore or The Real Housewives one more time, and now they will have The World According to Paris to discuss?!... excuse me while I sob quietly in the corner.

Great, more intelligent moves from Toyota. Nice going, this move is surely going to help out all of the marketing and PR problems you're going through. Let's give the most ungrateful-piece, a nicer car than 99% of the world. I hope every LF-A malfunctions with catastrophic engine, transmission, and electronic failure. Never will I consider to buy a Toyota.
