Lexus LF-A Crouches, Ready for Nurburgring 24 Hours
Gazoo Racing, named for a commercial Web site in Japan, is entering the LF-A with Toyota test-drivers, dealers and professional racing drivers on the team — as well as incoming Toyota CEO Akio Toyoda, grandson of the company founder, racing under the assumed named "Morizo." It's part of the car's development program, Toyota says.
The LF-A participated in the event last year as well, finishing 7th in its class. This year's entry has a 492-horsepower 4.8-liter V10 engine and is said to top 200 mph.
Gazoo Racing is running a live feed on its Web site.
