TORRANCE, California — Lexus dealers in the U.S. should get their first shipments of the redesigned 2010 Lexus GX utility vehicle in December.
Before then, however, Toyota's upscale brand will roll out its new hardware in Shanghai. Even earlier, the redesigned Toyota Land Cruiser Prado — a sister vehicle to the Lexus GX — will make its debut at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show.
Both the Land Cruiser Prado and the GX get all-new sheet metal, revised mechanicals and updated interiors.
More details will be coming down the pike shortly.
Inside Line says: Good thing the new GX is in the pipeline — the current model is mighty long in the tooth. — Paul Lienert, Correspondent
