LAS VEGAS — A new F Sport package for the 2013 Lexus GS 350 will be unveiled next week at the 2011 SEMA Show. The kit features chassis and interior upgrades and distinctive exterior trim.
The F Sport edition of the GS 350 features the same 307-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 that powers the standard GS 350, as well as that model's six-speed sequential-shift automatic transmission and paddle shifters.
Included in the GS 350 F Sport package are unique 19-inch wheels, sport-tuned adaptive variable suspension, thicker stabilizer bars, stiffer bushings and larger front brakes. Rear-wheel-drive models also get variable-gear-ratio steering and staggered-width wheels with 235/40R19 front and 265/35R19 rear tires. All-wheel-drive F Sport models are equipped with 235/40R19 all-season tires all around.
An option on the GS F Sport is a new Lexus Dynamic Handling (LDH) system with dynamic rear steering. Lexus said the system can automatically customize the adaptive suspension tuning to suit vehicle speed, road conditions and driving style, while independently managing both front and rear wheel steering angles to help improve turn-in response, rear grip, vehicle control and overall agility when cornering.
The F Sport interior comes with a new 16-way power sport seat with increased lateral support, power side bolsters, thigh support, adjustable seatback and four-way lumbar. Aluminum pedals, perforated leather and aluminum trim dress up the cabin, which can be ordered with Cabernet Red leather.
The F Sport exterior can be finished in a choice of five colors, including two new hues — Riviera Red and Liquid Platinum. The exterior features a sport front bumper and rear lower valence, rear lip spoiler, F Sport mesh grille inserts and badging.
Inside Line says: It just looks faster.

Toyota,
Stop adding creases and badges to the GS, and finish up the FT-86 already!

Sorry guys, this Lexus isn't a Camry, at least not on the outside. The interior components, parts of the engine, doors, light switches, etc. are all Toyota, and are all cross shopped from the same factory, but the styling is all Lexus.... Frankly I would save my money and buy a second hand IS350 with the same power plant, better lines, and less weight. Or better still, a second hand IS-F that would smoke both of these cars.

Jag XFR already betters any BMW 5series in production so it shouldn't be hard to match that level of 'performance' (decline).
For those that are confused this the F-sport GS not a GSF. The F-sport was a dealer installed suspension and brake upgrade that become quite popular on the IS250/350 so Lexus decided to offer F-sports on both the IS and GS from factory.
For those that see a Camry, which looks like a big Corolla to me, I'd suggest Lasik.
The car is in dire need of character lines on the side slab, seriously.

Oh - and I think it looks nice. As a BMW owner I could buy it on looks. But frankly I don't like the look of the BMW I own, but it drives soooo right.

I have to agree with the fanboys that Germans nickel and dime better - BMW charges like $500 for a folding rear seat, come on - that is standard on a Civic.
I agree with the enthusiasts the GS likely will have the performance of a 528i, maybe a 535i on a good day. BMW offers 2 levels over the 535i that are real upgrades - the 550i and coming M5.
Lexus has a GS and a GS hybrid. Claiming the GS F sport as another model is like saying BMW has 8 versions of the 5 series because you can get an M sport package or summer tires on them. Silly. That's why the Germans don't market S-line or M-sport as a separate model and release it at a different auto show. Toyota is really silly about their incremental releases - look at the FT-86. Hopefully they have something, if not they'll realize hype without delivering results in lots of critics.
That said - I hope Louis and p are right and Lexus has finally made a sporty sedan. I'd love to have a reliable BMW even if there is a Lexus badge on it. I'll see if they can make a driver's car when I drive one next year.

While car magazines like CD is starting to like the new GS and Camry, still easy to spot plenty fanboys that were severely brain-washed...

I've never liked many Lexus models over the years. This latest model has got my attention. Even an old guy (57) like me likes the front end treatment.
But will its performance back up the good styling? 307 horsepower may not be enough to move this big car in style.

That front end is too much. Not sure what it wants to be.
