2011 Lexus Lineup Prices and Details

    Just the Facts:
    • Lexus announces moderate price increases for a few of its models. Others remain unchanged.
    • A brake-override system is standard on every 2011 model.
    • All 2011 Lexus models will launch between now and early fall.

TORRANCE, California — Lexus has announced pricing and specs on its 2011 lineup, which reaches dealers in summer and early autumn. Price changes and revisions to the vehicles are all moderate. The prices will not change on the entry-level IS 250 models and are up a maximum of $1,200 on the top-end LS 600h L, which now costs $110,875 including an $875 destination charge.

Lexus adds a standard brake-override system to every model for 2011, no surprise given the intensive publicity surrounding recalls of Toyota and Lexus models in the past year. The system, which reduces engine power when the brake and accelerator are pressed at the same time under some circumstances, is intended to give "an additional measure of consumer confidence," the automaker says.

The IS 350 gets a new all-wheel-drive model, a new grille and front bumper design and standard LED daytime running lights with HID headlamps. The lights are an option on the IS 250.

For the rear-wheel-drive IS 250 and IS 350, there's an F Sport package on offer. It includes 18-inch dark "super chrome finish" alloy wheels, front and rear spoilers, a retuned suspension, sportier seating and F Sport badges inside and out. Most of the IS 250 models stand pat on price for 2010, from $33,020, with the IS 250C models up 1.1 percent at $40,765-$41,935. The top-end IS F costs $59,885, a 0.9 percent increase over the current model. All are out by the end of the summer, Lexus says.

The suspension is revised on the LS 460 as well, with a standard coil suspension or optional air suspension. The LS 460 is priced from $66,255-$74,105 and comes out in the fall.

The big modification to the ES 350 is that it is now recommended to run on standard 87 octane fuel rather than premium 91 octane, leading to "reduced cost of ownership," Lexus says. The ES 350 is rated at 19/27 mpg. It's priced at $36,400, including $875 destination, representing a 1 percent increase from 2010, with an early fall on-sale date.

GS 350 models are up $400 for 2010 and will be out this summer. The LS 460 is priced the same for 2011 and will be out in the fall.

An AWD IS350? That sounds inticing!

I wonder if the F Sport package's 'retuned suspension' constitutes anything more than the springs and shocks that are offered in the current F Sport catalog.

That being said, I can't wait for a write up on an AWD IS350 with the F Sport package. The RX300 in the garage is starting to show it's age. ;)

When does the new GS line debut? The current model is aging fast.
