BRADFORD, England — Cosworth has teamed with U.K. tuner Project Kahn on the RS300. It features a Cosworth-modified version of Land Rover's twin-turbo V8 diesel under the hood of a customized Range Rover Sport HSE.

The Cosworth performance upgrades kick engine output to 300 horsepower. Also featured are a Cosworth carbon-fiber engine cover, a numbered conversion plaque and an enameled deck-lid badge.

Project Kahn's modifications include an aero/styling kit with satin black mesh grille, extended wheel arches, a front airdam, side sills, side vents and a rear apron. Kahn also adds a set of 22-inch alloy wheels and 285/35R22 tires.

The interior package bundles quilted leather front and rear seats with Cosworth logos, a custom glovebox and a gearshift boot with custom stitching and Cosworth instrumentation and stainless steel door sills.

The U.K. price of the Kahn/Cosworth RS300, including the original Range Rover Sport plus VAT, is $125,400.

For those with bolder tastes and even bigger budgets, Project Kahn also offers the RS600, a 600-hp edition of the Range Rover Sport HSE with a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 gasoline engine.

why do people buy crap like these supped-up SUV?   They suck up a lot of gas and you can't go off roading with 24 in rims.

Where's the beef? 300HP isn't anything special and nothing appears to have been done to tune the suspension for better handling.
