Kahn and Cosworth Team Up on a Custom Range Rover Sport

GOODWOOD, England — Afzal Kahn and engine tuner Cosworth have joined forces to create the ultimate line of custom cars. They kicked off their collaborative effort at the Goodwood Festival of Speed with a highly modified version of the Range Rover Sport called the Kahn Cosworth Sport 300.

The most obvious change is the Fast and the Furious style body kit that includes a front and rear spoiler, Cosworth rear wing, flared wheel arches and 22-inch lightweight alloy wheels.

This custom SUV gets a small power boost with its turbocharged 3.6-liter V8 now laying down 300 horsepower compared with the stock Range Rover Sport's 268 hp. Thanks to those few extra horses, it accelerates to 60 mph in less than 8.0 seconds and tops out at 135 mph.

The Kahn Cosworth Sport 300 is priced at the equivalent of about $150,000 for the vehicle with the whole tuning package, and production will be limited to just 300 units.

What this means to you: For those looking for a little extra oomph and flashy styling, this is the Range Rover for you. — Mike Lysaght, Correspondent
