LONDON — British coachbuilder Prindiville is building a limited run of 25 hand-crafted Land Rover Defenders, with power, cooling, braking and suspension upgrades from Alive Tuning.
Based on the latest Defender 90 Hard Top, the limited-edition Landie will join the exclusive Prindiville Collection, which includes special versions of such European supercars as the Ferrari 458 Italia and Lamborghini Aventador.
Prindiville says its Defender is "designed to offer individuality coupled with a superior level of comfort and practicality." Each vehicle will be built to the customer's bespoke interior and exterior specification.
The coachbuilder and its tuning partner offer a choice of four different power upgrades to the Defender's 2.4-liter turbodiesel, from 122 to 190 horsepower, with torque peaking at 339 pound-feet.
Other upgrades and features on the limited edition include a choice of matte or metallic exterior finish, a high-performance titanium exhaust system, chrome side protection runners, LED front and rear lamps, ribbed undershield, front and rear parking sensors and cameras, and full leather interior with hand-stitched piping.
The Prindiville Defender Limited Edition is priced from $81,500, not including taxes or shipping.
Inside Line says: One hoity-toity Landie.
