TURIN, Italy — It has only been on the market for three years, but Lancia's popular Musa people mover is getting a substantial makeover.

In addition to a modest restyling in front, the Musa grows in length, primarily through a stretch in the rear cabin and cargo bay. The luggage compartment grows 22 percent, to 13.8 cubic feet, and the rear seat slides forward to add even more capacity. In addition, the load floor has been lowered by 1.6 inches to make it easier to load and unload bags.

The Musa has a number of family-friendly features, from modular seating that can be rearranged to suit different tastes and needs, to a panoramic glass sunroof.

A wide range of gas and diesel engines includes a range-topping 100-horsepower 1.9-liter turbodiesel. Several can be fitted with an automated sequential manual transmission.

Exterior changes include new chrome accents, alloy wheels and LED taillamps.

What this means to you: This is one good-looking grocery getter.
