GENEVA — An official-looking image of the Lamborghini Murciélago LP650-4 Roadster, rendered in orange and gray, has been leaked on the Dutch Web site Autoblog.nl, which says the car will debut at the 2009 Geneva Auto Show and will go on sale later this year in extremely limited quantities.

Rumors have been flying in recent weeks that Lambo would unveil a new limited edition of the Murciélago, with much European speculation centered on the designation LP670-4 SV. But the car pictured by Autoblog.nl actually carries LP650-4 logos at either end.

The site maintains that the LP 650-4 Roadster will share its running gear, notably the 6.5-liter V12, with the Reventón, and will be priced in Europe from around $375,000. Only 50 copies reportedly will be produced.

Among the car's distinctive features are a transparent engine cover, a rearview camera, a navigation system and a leather-swaddled cockpit, including a hand-stitched, leather-wrapped steering wheel with e-gear paddles and switches painted bright orange.

    Stay tuned for further details.

Inside Line says: For less than a third of the price of a Reventón, the LP650-4 Roadster may actually be viewed — by at least one or two extremely wealthy individuals — as something of a bargain. — Paul Lienert, Correspondent
