Tuner Special: Edo Lamborghini LP710 Audigier

AHLEN, Germany — Supercar specialist Edo Competition and fashion designer Christian Audigier have unveiled their modified Lamborghini Murciélago, which Edo says is the fastest Lambo ever made.

The limited-edition Edo Lamborghini LP710 is based on the Murciélago LP640 and includes a modified engine, interior and body. Although power specifications have yet to be released, the LP710 has an impressive top speed of 224 mph.

Christian Audigier, the brains behind the high-end Ed Hardy clothing line, selected the matte black paint job for the vehicle, and the new look is completed by distinctive airbrush work by Austrian artist Marcus Pfeil. Audigier left his mark inside the supercar by redesigning the seats, door panels and center console.

Edo will custom-make each of the five revamped Lamborghinis for their buyers, which means interested enthusiasts will be able to decide the extent of the Edo and Audigier treatment. Edo is also giving future owners of the LP710 a chance to drive the vehicle on the track in Papenburg, Germany, or Nardò, Italy, with pro racer and test driver Patrick Simon in the passenger seat.

Inside Line says: The Edo and Audigier treatments combine to create one of the most special Lamborghinis available. — Mike Lysaght, Correspondent
