NOVARA, Italy — Lamborghini enthusiasts not equipped with $1.4 million finally have the opportunity to pilot the Raging Bull's flagship Reventon thanks to De Agostini's new gasoline-powered RC car.
The 1:10 scale radio-control model comes equipped with a two-stroke 3cc combustion engine and, like the life-size version, gets power to all four wheels. Other performance features include a two-speed transmission, independent suspension, hydraulic shocks and single-disc brakes. Buyers will control it with a two-channel radio.
Only 65 units of the vehicle will be offered. The company's Web site offers the details on how to get hold of your own personal small Reventon.
The actual Lambo masterpiece comes loaded with a 6.5-liter V12 that makes 641 horses. It wastes no time sprinting to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds and won't stop until it maxes out at 211 mph.
Inside Line says: A high-performance RC car that appears to deserve the Reventon name. — Mike Lysaght, Correspondent
