SEOUL, South Korea — The redesigned 2011 Kia Sportage will make its world debut at the 2010 Geneva Auto Show. It will begin arriving in dealerships worldwide later this year.
The new version is longer, lower and wider than its predecessor, with more passenger and cargo space. A longer wheelbase will contribute to better ride quality.
The Sportage will be offered in various markets with a selection of gasoline and diesel engines.
Inside Line says: We won't be the first or last ones to point this out, but the new Sportage looks like a scaled-down companion to the Kia Sorento. — Anita Lienert, Correspondent

Im seriously considering this vehicle as my next car. I hope everything from the photos above makes its way to production, from the LED lights to the rims. I love the more masculine look, the tuscon is way too vanilla. I hope the interior is better than the Sorento. Fingers crossed the price remains around the current one.

Great Job Kia! A lot better looking than the Tuscon, which means it will continue to outsell the Tuscon. It's nice to see Kia all grown up and successful!

While it is obviously a huge departure from past forms,it looks exactly like the Sorrento.Minus 10 points for originality.

Looks like a Sorento that stayed in the dry cycle too long. The front is very similar which I don't mind. I like the overall look better than the Tucson. I wonder if this unit makes better use of storage space than the Tucson does. Not really impressed when I saw the Tucson in person. These vehicles also have really, really shallow bumpers. I wonder what a 5 mph bump into something would do to them.

I still like the Tucson more, but this is great looking, too.

I really like the new design theme Kia has put into effect on its new models. Looks very familial. Hopefully the Sportage will finally show that Kia is starting to get into more Premium territory
