DETROIT — Kia has pulled the covers up just a little bit more on the concept it plans to reveal in full this weekend at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show. Also, the concept, which is based on the 2010 Kia Soul, now has a name: Soulster.
The Korean automaker released the initial teaser image of the car several weeks ago, saying only that it is "more than just a package treatment" and that it "will demonstrate the flexibility of the original design."
The latest release, which shows the car's nameplate and little else, contains no further details.
Inside Line says: So far, the Soul, which has yet to reach U.S. showrooms, has demonstrated that it's a great foundation on which to base any number of quirky concepts. — Paul Lienert, Correspondent
