GENEVA — A ladder may be a must-have accessory next week at the 2009 Geneva Auto Show, as the curious jockey to get a better look at the distinctive roof on the Kia No. 3 Concept Car.

Kia on Tuesday gave the curious a more detailed look at the No. 3 Concept, which competes against the Opel Meriva. "The concept features a unique extended windscreen and panorama glass roof with a diagonal supporting bar," said Kia in a statement. Another unusual touch is an automatic sun visor.

Of perhaps greater importance is the fact that the No. 3 Concept sports the new "face of Kia," said the Korean automaker. The concept has a striking grille and headlamp design and a brand logo in front.

No word yet on powertrain specifications, fuel economy, pricing or production plans. Kia noted that the concept is 159 inches long and finished in matte Titanium Grey with contrasting gloss white accents.

Inside Line says: It may be a little kooky, but Kia's new MPV concept is bound to turn a lot of heads. — Anita Lienert, Correspondent
