GENEVA — The wraps came off the 2013 Kia Cee'd on Wednesday ahead of the car's world debut at the 2012 Geneva Auto Show in March.
Kia revealed a single image of the second-generation five-door hatch, which shares a platform in Europe with the Hyundai i30. Kia noted that the Cee'd gets chrome framed windows, "muscular lines" on the hood and a driver-oriented dashboard.
No powertrain details were revealed, but European media are speculating that the Cee'd will share the new turbocharged 1.6-liter GDI engine announced this week for the Hyundai Veloster Turbo.
The redesigned Cee'd will go on sale in Europe in the second quarter of 2012.
Inside Line says: The redesigned Kia Cee'd looks a bit more grown up, but expect a deeper dive into the details in a few weeks.

@dbzimp
The Kia Cee'd isn't built in "Bowling Green", or even the U.S. In fact, it's not even available for sale in the U.S. Further, there is no Kia plant in BG. Being wrong must be your thing.

Ahhhh
The Cee'd!!!!!!!!!!! the only car in the world that has an apostrophe in its name.
It is very reasonable, and is perfect for our new reasonably priced car!
Now to give the old KIA a viking funeral.

It has an "Errrrrr I'M VERY ANGRY!" face.
It kinda gives off a hint of what the Kia K9 would end up looking like in the front end.

I hope the U.A.W. thugs in Bowling Green remember to install the brake pads.I also hope they can keep their pension dollars so it won't go into Obama's campaign fund.SQUID!!!!!!!!!!

Looks good, I like this interpretation of the Kia corporate face. Hard to tell from this photo if the rest of the car will look as good, but I don't see anything bad here. The more options in the small hatch category the better.

+1 Hilarious. You just had to go and steal zr1man's thunder. Good job. Oh, and I do like the looks of this little Kia. Am inclined to comment that Hyundai/Kia seem to be bent on world domination, rather like VW. Both seem to be in the process of pulling it off.
