- Jeep unveils its Call of Duty: Black Ops Edition Wrangler.
- The Wrangler heralds the first-person shooter Xbox 360 video game of the same name.
- Black Ops Edition will go on sale in early November starting at $30,625.
AUBURN HILLS, Michigan — The 2011 Jeep Wrangler Call of Duty: Black Ops Edition will arrive in U.S. showrooms next month to coincide with the November 9 release of the Xbox 360 video game of the same name. Jeep said the limited-edition model will start at $30,625 for the two-door model and $33,500 for the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited version. Prices include a $750 destination charge.
The special model is spun off the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon model and features Call of Duty: Black Ops graphics on the roof and front quarter panels, along with standard 32-inch off-road tires, front and rear locking differentials and a two-speed transfer case.
The Jeep links to the highly anticipated first-person shooter video game that puts the player in the role of a foot soldier during the Cold War. "Black Ops" usually refers to covert military operations conducted behind enemy lines. The player has access to various firearms and explosives, as well as a "dismemberment" feature.
"We are able to expose the Jeep brand to an entirely new group of consumers," said Mike Manley, president and CEO of Jeep Brand, in a statement explaining the limited-edition Wrangler.
Jeep also said the 2011 Jeep Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited models get a new interior with a redesigned instrument panel and new storage areas. Sahara models get a new body-color hard top.

@snowbucks
I hope you're kidding. Engine size is not equal to off-road capability. Nice troll attempt though.

You can put a racing stripe on a pig, and you've still got a feeble/underpowered 202hp Jeep good for flat paved roads.

It should be noted that the game will also be released for the Sony PlayStation 3.
