How Many People Can You Stuff Inside a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited?
LODZ, Poland — It seems like a throwback to the silly fads of the 1920s, except this time the participants weren't eating goldfish, stuffing phone booths or sitting on flagpoles. They were trying to figure out how many people could fit inside a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.
A Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep dealer here managed to pack 32 people into the Wrangler Unlimited's cabin and trunk — and it has the photos to prove it, including one depicting a blue-jeaned leg sticking through the vehicle's window. The event made the front page of the local newspaper, where we learned the critical bit of information that in Polish, Jeep translates to "Jeepie."
Chrysler's corporate blog reports that the "achievement will be added to the Polish Book of Unusual Records and Curiosities." The corporate blog also had this legal disclaimer: "We recommend you don't try this at home."
What this means to you: We hope this is one fad that doesn't spread like wildfire around the globe. Guess there's no Polish equivalent of the Rubicon Trail. — Anita Lienert, Correspondent
