    What Is It?

    2004.5 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

    What's Special About It?

The Unlimited is essentially a stretch-wheelbase Wrangler. With an added 15 inches in overall length, the Wrangler Unlimited offers more cargo room and more rear-seat legroom. To further set the Wrangler Unlimited apart, Jeep is giving the vehicle an interesting and more flexible soft top. The new Sunrider top includes a folding section above the passenger compartment that acts as a sunroof. This sunroof function can also be operated from the inside. The special roof also includes deep tinted side windows, but the Unlimited can also be ordered with a hardtop.

To insure the Unlimited is just as capable off-road as a Jeep should be, a heavy-duty Dana 44 rear axle is included. Also standard are Goodyear Wrangler GSA tires, 15-inch aluminum wheels, 3.73 axle ratio, foglights and tow hooks. Options include cruise control, upgraded stereo and a self-dimming rearview mirror with compass.

    What's Edmunds' Take?

If you love the Wrangler but have avoided it because of lack of interior space, check out the Unlimited. — Brian Moody
