Jeep Willys2
What's special about it?
Look Who's Talking Now. Bad. RockyV. Awful. Free Willy2? You know, there's only so much you can do with a whale. OK, so Hollywood sequels usually blow (or blow hole, as the case may be). Does that mean that a sequel of a good concept vehicle will be bad? Not necessarily.
The Jeep Willys2 represents the first Jeep concept vehicle to debut outside of America. It is very similar to the Jeep Willys concept vehicle that debuted at the 2001 North American International Auto Show. There's really not much different between the two. Both are built on an aluminum frame. The Willys was a soft-top, but the Willys2 is a hard top with a carbon-fiber body. It is powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 160 horsepower and 155 lb-ft of torque. (Oddly enough, this is the same engine that the Mini Cooper S uses.) Its four-speed automatic transmission is coupled with a full-time 4WD system.
Why should you care?
Chrysler has a good reputation for turning concept vehicles into reality. Seeing some Willys and Willys2 styling cues in the next Wrangler is a distinct possibility. Brent Romans
