- 2011 Jeep Patriot gets some enhancements inside and out for the new model year.
- Patriot will be available in three trim levels: Sport, Latitude and Latitude X.
- It goes on sale in late 2010, but pricing has not yet been announced.
AUBURN HILLS, Michigan — The 2011 Jeep Patriot gets a mini face-lift for the new model year, including a much-needed interior redo. Chrysler showed off its first official images of the 2011 Patriot on Tuesday.
The redone Patriot arrives in showrooms in the fourth quarter of 2010. Pricing has not yet been announced.
Exterior upgrades include what Chrysler describes as a more "aggressive" front fascia with standard foglamps, a new rear fascia, body-color grille and optional 17-inch wheels. The SUV also gets four new exterior colors, as well as an increased 4x4 ride height. "Ride and handling is refined courtesy of returned steering and suspension systems," said Chrysler in a statement, although specific details are not being disclosed yet.
The cabin gets new soft-touch front-door trim panels with a padded upper surface, a new center armrest, new Jeep steering wheel with integrated controls, new cloth interior, standard speed control on all models and new backlighting of power accessories.
Patriot will be available in three trim levels: Sport, Latitude and Latitude X.

Looking at those seats, I can't help but be reminded of the seats in my E-46 BMW -a very good thing. Same goes for the steering wheel, yet another good thing.

Looking better!
I long for diesel though.
Also to threemopars, I agree with carpaul1, squarish headlights would look much better than round. We know round is trad jeep, but the slavish devotion to "family" styling has resulted in some serious design disasters (current compass + patriot) for jeep. Granted, there are some improvements in the works.
if the 2011/12 compass looks like a mini JGC, it'll be a Home Run. With diesel and a decent transmission it will be a home run with bases loaded!

Guys, Compass and Patriot are so popular in Canada that they have made the Liberty redundant. In fact, one sees more Commanders than Libertys (Liberties ?), and the Commander doesn't sell...
The 2009 numbers revealed that these two compact utes, unloved in the US, make up half of Canadian Jeep sales. With the ultra-cheap base model (priced like a base Yaris), it's also a big hit with fleets.

Dear Jeep, you are 90% of the way with the Patriot. All it needs is a good engine mated to a good transmission. The look, styling, and interior are all spot on. This could be a wildly successful model for your company. How about designing and offering a turbo 4, like Ford's Ecoboost 4 cylinder that gives the nearly 1800 lb heavier Explorer 30mpg on the highway? Come on guys!!! You finally got a good design team and excellent interiors on your 2011 models, now get a good engine and transmissions team and you folks are set.

Reminds me of the Cherokee even more now! Good job Jeep! Next time, throw a decent 4cyl, a decent CRD diesel in, and throw in a decent V6 and you've got a winner!

Needs a new tranny but otherwise, this + the new V6? Fully competent. Let's get them to showrooms

So are they updating the interior again since 2008, or are they just sending out the memo again?

the problem they needed to correct was the anemic 4-cylinder. jeep has one good modern engine, the hemi v8. even the new pentastar v6 lacks torque. their transmissions are pretty weak, too.
looks nice, though.

Round headlights signal classic Jeep, not square ones.
