2005 Jaguar XK
What's Special About It?
Two years ago the XK received significant drivetrain updates to keep pace with its competitors. This time around it was the designers' turn to tweak the aging XK to keep it looking fresh. A slightly larger and lower grille is set into a reshaped front bumper up front while extended side sills give the car a more hunkered-down look from the side. In back, there's now a standard rear spoiler and XKR models get standard quad exhaust tips. Three new wheel styles are also available for this year as is a choice of interior trim for a more customized look and feel.
What's Edmunds Take?
Jaguar is lucky that the XK is so good-looking. If it weren't for its sultry silhouette, this coupe would have been given up for dead a long time ago. The recent updates have kept the XK reasonably competitive, but the next-generation model couldn't come soon enough. Ed Hellwig
