Tata Brings Jaguar and Land Rover to India

    0 Ratings

MUMBAI, India — Tata Motors, which last year bought the Jaguar and Land Rover brands from Ford, is bringing the British luxury marques to its native India through a new Premier Car Division. Jaguar and Land Rover used to be part of Ford's Premier Automotive Group. Tata will be the brands' exclusive importer in India.

Tata's Premier Car Division has already begun setting up a dealer network in India and plans to begin selling Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles later this year. The first flagship showroom will open in June in the Worli district of Mumbai.

Tata's Ravi Kant observed: "This is a natural move for both businesses and will allow Jaguar and Land Rover to establish a strong and deserved presence in India. We are very pleased to develop our relationship with Jaguar Land Rover in this way and to provide the opportunity for Indian customers to access their premium products for the first time."
