    What Is It?

    What's Special About It?

Heralding the future design direction of Jaguar Cars is the Advanced Lightweight Coupe concept car. Jaguar describes the coupe as visual energy, suggesting movement from its geometrical oval front grille to the strong shoulders that house the unique 21-inch multispoke alloy wheels.

Designed to showcase Jaguar's aluminum technology currently used on the Jaguar XJ sedan, the coupe is a 2+2 show car with a simple, yet breathtaking interior. There's nothing excessive about the cabin, it remains pure in its Jaguar heritage. It's larger inside and better packaged than previous Jaguar coupes with more headroom, plus multidirection front seats and individual bucket seats for rear passengers. Tan leather with visible stitching covers the interior from seats to dash, surrounding bright aluminum accents.

Outfitted with a V8 powertrain, the aluminum architecture provides a lightweight coupe that would be capable of zero to 60 mph in less than 5 seconds, reaching 180 mph.

    What's Edmunds' Take?

Jaguar's Advanced Lightweight Coupe is truly a stunner. It's no secret that Jaguar has had its share of financial problems, and Jaguar itself admitted that this coupe was designed and built to revitalize Jaguar. Harkening back to the Jaguar of old, and emotionally connecting to cars like the iconic Jaguar XK120 and E-Type, may not lure new buyers into Jaguar showrooms, but it will likely give committed Jaguar enthusiasts yet another gorgeous car to dream about at night. — Kelly Toepke
