What's special about it?
The ZXS concept vehicle is a cross between an SUV and a wagon. Basically, it looks like a very tough and aggressive wagon. The rear cargo area has integrated mounts for bicycles. Running gear comes from the Rodeo, with a 215-horsepower V6, Intelligent Suspension Control shocks, and Isuzu's Torque-On-Demand 4WD system. The ZXS' suspension can be adjusted in terms of ride height.
Why should I care?
Isuzu is proud that it sells only SUVs in America, but the ZXS shows that the company is thinking about expanding its circle of influence. Most current AWD wagons are cars pumped up to look more like SUVs (think Volvo). But the ZXS goes the other way, starting out as an SUV and then gaining more car-like attributes.
