POCHENDORF, Austria — Wood floor mats inside the Koenigseder Caliber were a good indicator of Gerhard Koenigseder's taste as an aftermarket automotive tuner. For this latest project, he has turned to the luxurious, previous-generation Infiniti FX35.
Included are extended front and rear bumpers and unadorned side skirts. The exhaust is modified into the rear bumper, giving the FX a smooth, clean look from all angles. Koenigseder offers wheels in sizes up to 22 inches.
Although the new 2009 FX is being brought to the European market shortly, there should be plenty of existing FX35 owners interested in this aggressive addition to the luxury midsize SUV.
The kit starts at the equivalent of $8,475 and runs just above $15,430 for the top package with 22-inch chrome wheels.
What this means to you: Add the name Koenigseder to the list of unpronounceable aftermarket tuners. — Mike Lysaght, Correspondent
