MOSCOW — Hyundai Motor unveiled its RB concept at the 2010 Moscow Auto Show, a family sedan with coupelike styling that showcases what Hyundai calls its "fluidic sculpture" design philosophy. The concept presages the production model, which will come off the line in St. Petersburg starting next January.
The automaker has previously said it would start production of a new "budget" sedan in Russia this fall, adapted for Russian road conditions. Hyundai is aiming at the Volkswagen Poloand pricing the new model at about $10,000.
Hyundai says the production version of the RB will offer a choice of two Gamma four-cylinder engines: a 1.6-liter making 122 horsepower and 115 pound-feet of torque, or a 1.4-liter making 105 hp and 99 lb-ft. Both are mated to a standard five-speed manual or optional four-speed automatic transmission.

Hyundai's are the Mona Lisa's of the auto industry. Great looking from 20 feet way, but get close and your opinions will change drasticaly. I like where they are headed, but I still wouldn't buy one. I have no doubt, in 10 years the quality and performance will be on par with their Japanese counterpart. Until then, no thanks. I think the Mazda 2 would be a better choice if I were in the market for a car in this range.

One good thing about those Korean cars manufacturers, they don't re-invent the wheels but they make it look better. No wonder they look like hybrids of different cars...but they do a good job.

I can't see anyone buying a car that was introduced in 2005 over a car that has yet to be introduced either, unless one is buying a used car.

The new, upcoming North American Accent will feature this same bodywork, minus the LED and Projector Lamps, but will receive a GDi 1.6L making 140hp, and a 6 speed transmission. There are pictures of the upcoming Accent testing within the southwest United States desert area, and those particular photos clearly show a tightly masked version of this same bodywork. The cars testing within the United States have clearly shown this same hexagonal grille front end design!!!

Looks pretty much like the new Accent and Elantra. Fairly goodlooking none-the-less for such an inexpensive car.

It's a concept people, not a production vehicle. Can't see a single person buying a Yaris over this!

More like the Fiesta mated with a Suzuki kizashi.

Weird angle shots and huge wheels that will never even be optional in the future - these pictures somehow remind me of MySpace profile pictures. It does look similar to the current Accent - which is not half bad.
