LAS VEGAS — Horsepower isn't the only game in town at the 2009 SEMA Auto Show. Hyundai will bring in a touch of the art world as a Detroit illustrator paints a one-of-a-kind graphic on a Pearl White Street Concepts Genesis sedan.
Courtney Mason, a co-founder of Studio Jellyfish, will use the Genesis sedan as a "blank canvas." The highly stylized work of Studio Jellyfish has been put to good use by such clients as Nokia, VH1 and Rockstar Games.
In addition to the artwork, the Street Concepts Genesis gets 3M carbon-fiber roof panels, black chrome accents by Chrome Tech and upper and lower spoilers from RKSport. Other details include upper and lower E&G front mesh grilles finished in black chrome.
Eibach lowering springs, Brembo brakes and a Magnaflow cat-back exhaust round out the package.
This vehicle adds an air of mystery to the 2009 SEMA Auto Show.
"We decided to showcase the final design of the vehicle live on the showroom floor to involve the SEMA crowd in the experience," said Michael Deitz, Hyundai Motor America product planning manager, in a statement.
