FOUNTAIN VALLEY, California — Turn 10 Studios' Forza Motorsport 3 raced into stores on October 27, and now Hyundai is set to release a free add-on through Xbox Live on November 17 that will include three tuned Genesis Coupes.

The downloadable package will consist of three vehicles: the Rhys Millen Racing Red Bull Hyundai Genesis Coupe, HKS Genesis Coupe and a one-of-a-kind Genesis Coupe. It doesn't stop there, either, considering the car features its own race series in Career mode. Forza 3 gamers will also have the chance to show off their best screenshots or videos of the Genesis Coupe tearing up the virtual track in an upcoming contest.

Turn 10 worked with Hyundai to scan the Genesis Coupes in a high level of detail that will complement the video game's HD graphics. The developer even consulted with drifter Rhys Millen to give feedback about the vehicle's in-game tendencies and renders. Hyundai further takes advantage of its partnership with the Microsoft studio by getting some in-game advertising: Billboards, building exteriors and Jumbotrons will all be dressed in Genesis Coupe ads.

Forza Motorsport 3 allows gamers to get behind the wheel of more than 400 different vehicles on 100 well-known tracks. Players can further customize their rides with features like the Livery Editor and tuning garage and can then share their designs in the Auction house and Storefront. Made exclusively for Xbox, the game is available for $59.99 from the Xbox Web site.

The game is on display alongside Hyundai's modified cars at the 2009 SEMA Auto Show.

Inside Line says: Hyundai is going after the younger segment with this move, and it just might be warranted considering U.S. teens alone have spending power in excess of $172 billion per year. — Mike Lysaght, Correspondent
