FOUNTAIN VALLEY, California — Hyundai on Thursday released details on the ARK Track Time Attack Genesis Coupe 3.8L, which is headed for the 2010 SEMA Show. But the Korean automaker told Inside Line that the 2011 Hyundai Equus will be its "major player" at the show, with details to follow shortly.
The ARK Track Time Attack Genesis Coupe 3.8L is a showcase for high-performance parts by ARK Performance, an aftermarket supplier. Inside Line asked Hyundai Motor America spokesman Miles Johnson how much it would cost to reproduce the SEMA car. "It would be in the ballpark of at least $30,000-$40,000," he said. "And keep in mind that some of it is one-off body kit and parts."
The long list of ARK modifications includes custom exterior paint and a supercharger kit that kicks the 3.8-liter V6 engine from 306 to 450 horsepower. Other details include a Brembo Big Brake system, Toyo tires, an Apple iPad integration kit, Infinity sound system, Blitz gauges, ARK racing pedals and an ARK carbon hood.
Johnson said that Hyundai's SEMA onslaught will include another Genesis coupe as well as three 2011 Hyundai Equus sedans and one 2011 Hyundai Sonata. "The Equus will be the player," he said, adding that details about those SEMA vehicles will be released in the coming weeks.

Onslaught? Meh...
A $70,000 Hyundai? Time attack or not, it will still get B-slapped by a similarly modded 370z or a lightly modded GT-R.

Front fender crease/vent is a bit much for me, but otherwise a decent looking design.
