FOUNTAIN VALLEY, California — The 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe is well on its way to becoming one of the favorites of customizers, and that trend will be underscored at the 2009 SEMA Auto Show in November. GReddy Performance Parts will parade its hardware on the GReddy X-Gen Street Genesis Coupe, with a production kit in the works for enthusiasts.
Styling modifications to the GReddy Genesis Coupe include an aero lip spoiler, carbon-fiber hood, rear spoiler, Volk Racing G2 wheels and Toyo performance tires. The cabin gets Sparco racing seats, modified gauges, a boost controller and a turbo timer.
Mechanical tweaks include a GReddy Performance Products turbo upgrade kit, a large front-mounted intercooler kit, an SE Spectrum Elite cat-back exhaust system, an MX racing downpipe and a Type S fully adjustable coil-over suspension.
"The initial performance targets of the GReddy-powered Genesis Coupe will be 350 horsepower and 320 pound-feet of torque, with a 0-60-mph time under 6 seconds," said Hyundai in a statement. "Following SEMA, GReddy plans to make addition engine modifications, pushing horsepower to nearly 500."
The Korean automaker said the modifications are designed to show off improvements "that can be achieved in a real-world setting."
