LOS ANGELES — Hyundai will unveil the 2012 Hyundai Azera at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show this week, and Inside Line will provide an exclusive behind-the-scenes Webcast of the Hyundai press conference live from the auto show floor.
The Webcast will begin at 10:30 a.m. Pacific on Wednesday, November 16, 2011. Immediately following the reveal, Hyundai will hold a "post-game show" discussion with CEO John Krafcik, Product Planning Vice President Mike O'Brien and National Sales Vice President Dave Zuchowski. Online viewers can submit questions to be answered live on camera by the executives via Facebook or Twitter.
Expect 2012 Hyundai Azera powertrain and fuel economy details to be released at the Los Angeles auto show, and possibly pricing. Some media outlets are speculating that the Azera may get a new 3.3-liter direct-injection V6 producing around 300 horsepower. The base 2011 Hyundai Azera is equipped with a 260-hp 3.3-liter V6 linked to a six-speed automatic transmission. The uplevel 2011 Hyundai Azera Limited gets the 3.8-liter V6.

Once again Inside Line's webcast cut out at the worst time. I totally missed the Azera unveiling. All I got to see were the bookends to the presentation... how great Hyundai is doing but totally missed the actual meat of the presentation. Does anyone else have this issue with Inside Line's webcasts?!?!

Actually this car is a Big Problem here in Korea. Customers noticed that CO infiltrates into the cabin and they are getting intoxicated. Same thing is happening to Kia K7(Candenza) which uses the same platform. Of course Hyundai never admits and is censoring all the information regarding it. They almost never recall here in Korea, and blasts other car maker that do.

Power tilt and telescoping steering wheel is also an option I forgot to mention. Read my two other comments below. Thanks!

Also forgot to mention other markets have three engine choices. A 2.4 liter, a 3.0 liter, and a 3.3 liter. Unsure if turbo's are involved. Read my more in depth comment below. Thanks!

I've been heavily researching the new Azera (Grandeur in other markets around the world) for almost a year. I WANT ONE SO BAD!!! So far it has increased it's value all around. The following are some of the options I've seen on this vehicle already. Fluidic Sculpture definitely. Smart access with push button start. LED "brow" above the HID headlamps. LED wrap around tail lamps. High mounted LED stop light. Panoramic roof. Rain sensing wipers. Auto defogging system. Rear view camera with guidance lines. Saw a few with Around View Monitoring cameras. Larger center stack with improved navigation. I've seen the navigation with a birds-eye-view and 3D overlay. Hyundai Blue Link. I've also seen JBL and Dolby audio emblems in some of the vehicles, but I believe the US will get an 8(+) speaker Infinity system. Aux, iPod and USB integration. Supervision cluster in gauges (see 2011-2012 Kia Optima). Automatic Parking Assist System (ex: Lincoln MKS, Ford Explorer) with parking sensors front and rear. Adaptive cruise control. LED mood lighting throughout the vehicle (blue). Unique LED lighting in center consoles. Illuminated door sills. Power rear sunshade. Manual rear side window sunshades. Electronic parking brake. Multifunction steering wheel. Bluetooth. Active Eco. Cooled glove-box. Dual automatic climate control. Heated and ventilated front seats. Heated steering wheel. Heated rear seats. Driver seat with massage functions. Memory front seats with lumbar and seat cushion extender. Power seat control for driver and passenger on doors (ex: Mercedes). Rear fold down armrest with slide-out cup-holders, multifunction buttons and storage bin. Three interior colors: beige, black, dark brown. Three different trim options including 2 wood accents and a carbon fiber option. Wood trim also on steering wheel. It has the same black floor and foot-wells as Sonata and Genesis. More airbags including knee and rear side air bags. Three wheel/tire options. Power folding sideview mirrors with LED turn signal indicators. Chrome tipped dual exhaust integrated into the bumper. I believe it will have a 6-speed automatic transmission mated to a GDi V6 engine. No paddle shifters that I've noticed. I think that's about it. I do have tons of pictures if anyone wants to see! Thanks for reading!

Hopefully this retains the spacious feel of the previous Azera. large cars have gotten too cramped and closed-in feeling (Taurus, LaCrosse, Charger, 300, Maxima) in recent years.

Charger and 300 actually had big improvements in interior space (although both still ain't perfect).

Honda BETTER put a 6 or 7 speed automatic in their next-generation Accord V6 (and Acura line) or Hyundai will have officially passed them in my book...

Avalon is to Camery as Azera is to Sonata as Maxima is to Altima. I'm not sure how this competes with the 300 though.
