2009 Hummer H2/H2 SUT: For 2009, the Hummer H2 and H2 SUT get only minor upgrades. The standard 6.2-liter V8 is now FlexFuel capable. Captain's chairs are now available in the second row and a heated, tilt-adjustable steering wheel will be added to the options list later in the year. A new version of OnStar offers downloadable directions and Bluetooth connectivity while the XM Satellite Radio system adds real-time traffic reports. A "Black Chrome" edition is also scheduled as a midyear addition. It comes standard with chrome door handles, a chrome grille and, of course, 20-inch chrome wheels. There are two new colors: Sedona Metallic and Silver Ice Metallic.
2009 Hummer H3: The 2009 H3 gets only minor changes this year. Bluetooth connectivity is now standard along with hill-start assist and a locking front differential on models with the off-road suspension. All-Terrain Blue replaces Midnight on the color palette.
2009 Hummer H3T: The Hummer H3T is an all-new vehicle for 2009. Well, it's all-new if you consider adding a 5-foot cargo bed and an extra letter onto the H3 "all-new." The wheelbase is actually 22.3 inches longer than the standard H3, so the H3T should have better ride quality. In all other aspects, the H3T mimics the H3 directly. The base powertrain is a 3.7-liter, inline five-cylinder with a five-speed manual transmission. A four-speed automatic transmission is optional. The H3T Alpha comes standard with a 5.3-liter V8 and a four-speed transmission and can tow up to 5,900 pounds.
