    What is it?
    Honda Step Bus Concept

    What's special about it?
Part Element and part Fit, the Honda Step Bus concept was designed to cram the most interior space possible into a vehicle with an ultracompact footprint. That goal dictated the dicelike shape, but a few other key features were used to further improve the functionality of this Honda design concept.

Sliding doors rarely make their appearance on anything without a car seat, but the Step Bus uses the functional design to make the most out of the only two doors it has. A unique midengine, rear-drive layout also opens up extra space up front.

Interesting interior elements such as a bulletin board dash with picture holders and a track storage system built in the doors drive home the youthful design, and a next-generation navigation system gives the Step Bus a high-tech feel.

    What's Edmunds' take?
This would be a more novel concept if the Scion xB didn't already exist. It could still make for an interesting alternative to a Fit, but with right-hand drive, don't expect to see it at a Honda dealer anytime soon. — Kelly Toepke
