Most of the changes are minor, with only subtle alterations to the front and rear fascias. If you've seen the grille on the 2008 Honda Accord, then you'll recognize the new face of the Odyssey. It's not a very noticeable change, but it adds some of Honda's new corporate design language to the Odyssey without appearing like an afterthought.
The only difference in back is a new set of taillights. They're not any bigger than before, but the reverse lenses have been moved down for no particular reason. Expect to see some new wheel designs as well.
Changes to the interior will consist of minor trim and fabric upgrades only, so don't expect any additional seating options or notable new features. There might be some revisions to the audio and navigation systems to bring them up to the latest standards, but the overall look and feel of the Odyssey will remain relatively unchanged.
With production expected to begin shortly, the 2008 Honda Odyssey should be in dealers just in time to go head-to-head with the 2008 Dodge Caravan and 2008 Chrysler Town and Country vans. Both Chrysler vans received full redesigns this year in an attempt to retain their status as best-sellers, so the Odyssey will need all the help it can get.
