2010 Honda Insight, Toyota Prius, and Kia Soul Earn Top Safety Pick Award

    2 Ratings
ARLINGTON, Virginia — The 2010 Honda Insight, Kia Soul and Toyota Prius are the latest members of the small-car class to earn the Top Safety Pick rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

To qualify for the rating, a vehicle must earn the highest rating of "good" in the Institute's front, side and rear crash tests and be equipped with electronic stability control.

Electronic stability control is standard on the Prius and Soul and optional on the Insight.

The trio joins these other small cars as Top Safety Pick winners:

Inside Line says: Kudos to the Prius, Soul and Insight for going to the head of the class when it comes to safety. — Anita Lienert, Correspondent
