What is it?
Honda FCX

What's special about it?
The Honda FCX concept car utilizes a fuel-cell drivetrain that is located completely underneath the passengers. Honda calls this design "Twin Solid." Because of the two-layer design, the FCX's cabin is especially spacious.

Why should you care?
Most car manufacturers seem to agree that fuel-cell technology is ultimately the best way to provide economically viable power. And while there are many hurdles to overcome, the FCX shows where Honda thinks the future is going.
