Description: The Gumpert Apollo weighs 2,645 pounds, produces 650 horsepower, has a sequential gearbox and makes enough downforce at high speed to suspend itself inverted. So if you think you'll be driving this one on the street every day we'd say your ass-o-meter is in need of recalibration. The Apollo meets 74 international standards for racecar construction, its suspension is fully adjustable and the 650-hp version is the entry-level model. It is, as they say, exclusively function over form. Even in name.
IL says: Holy Moses is this ever a ridiculous street car. We never, ever want to commute in the Gumpert Apollo. But we'd die to spend a day on a track in one.
