Description: Ginetta's F400 is now wearing its third name and is under its third owner since being originally introduced in 2002 as the Farbio GT. This kind of history rarely bodes well for any car, but the little Ginetta shows real promise in practice, if not on paper. Its full carbon-fiber body and stunning interior are a surprise on any car produced in such small numbers (fewer than 50 annually). There are even touchscreen controls for many interior functions, including the radio.
Two versions of the same engine are available — one normally aspirated and one supercharged and intercooled. It's quick, but it won't be showing its taillights to any Ferraris.
IL says: We like the idea of the F400. It utilizes a high-tech chassis and body, looks basic but has good proportions and is even rumored to come to the U.S.
