The photos back up what was learned from earlier test mules. Although most of its sheet metal appears unchanged, the grille is updated with Ford's three-bar design.
The refreshed version of the Five Hundred is expected to get Ford's new 3.5-liter V6 as well. Recently certified to generate 265 horsepower and 250 pound-feet of torque, it would give the Five Hundred the horsepower it needs to compete and go a long way toward erasing the "gutless" image of the current model.
What this means to you: Ford is hoping the general public will feel this is the Five Hundred it should have built in the first place.
