GARDENA, California — American Idol winner Jordin Sparks is lending her considerable glamour to a special-edition 2010 Shelby GT500 Super Snake, which is bound for auction on February 3 in conjunction with the 2010 Super Bowl in Miami. Minimum bid for the car is $75,000, and proceeds will benefit the Carroll Shelby Foundation and Sparks Charities.
The red custom Mustang boasts a 750-horsepower Super Snake package from Shelby American. The cabin has Sparks's initials embroidered in the seats. She told the Arizona Republic newspaper that "this car is a replica of the car that I have. On American Idol, we won the Mustangs, but I upgraded mine, and it's the same color. It's awesome. It purrs like a kitten."
The car will be auctioned during the third annual Jordin Sparks Experience. The live auction will take place during the Cars, Stars & Cigars portion of the event at the Eden Roc Renaissance resort in Miami Beach.

Uh-huh.....I seriously doubt that the vast majority of American Idol fans even know who Carroll Shelby is (but I guess that's the side benefit of this auction....:-/ )

This is why mustangs have little value to real car enthusiast. They milk every different edition as a special and "Jordan Sparks"...really. What is next? Paris Hilton's mustang?

I love the car -- it is bad-ass -- but will it have "OMG!" and "LOL" stenciled inside too? Sparks is a nice pop singer, but I hardly see her as an ideal endorser for a 750-hp Super Snake. At least her heart is in the right place -- it's for charity. At least that's something.

Please, I'd prefer the Tiger Woods updates over this trash article/advertisement.
