- A skateboard park and Ford Mustang pair for a reality TV show.
- Drifter Vaughn Gittin, Jr. and skateboarder Rob Dyrdek team to put the Mustang in skateboarding action.
- The result will be shown on the season premiere of the MTV show Rod Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory on Monday, July 12.
BALTIMORE — Skateboarding has an adrenaline-seeking demographic, and so does the Ford Mustang — and both are undeniably fun to watch going down the street. So it's no surprise that the two have combined, albeit briefly, at the world's first skateboard car park.
The idea came from Formula Drift star Vaughn Gittin, Jr., who teamed with skateboarding entrepreneur and reality-TV star Rob Dyrdek to create a skateboard-style park for cars and a 2011 Mustang kitted out to drive on it. The result will be shown on the season premiere of the MTV show Rod Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory on Monday, July 12, at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT.
A grind plate, grip tape and other skateboarder modifications set up the Mustang for action. California Skateparks, Falken Tire and sponsors Ford and Monster Energy participated in the project.
Gittin said that when he participates in Formula Drift, he realizes "how close it is to skateboarding in the fact that it is truly a lifestyle and an action sport that takes a ton of passion and talent."

As a skater, and a Mustang fanboy, I think it looks alright. I think it's borderline cheesy, but it will be entertaining. Does anybody know the name of the song played throughout the video?

I see nothing wrong with it. I don't see it catching on, but it should be entertaining.
